Partnership with the Oakville Bluegrass Cooperative

Oakville bluegrass is a unique set of Radix Hybrid bulbosa* cultivars that caught the attention of Vitidore’s founders as a permanent and cost-effective ground cover for vineyards and orchards.

In March of 2022, a group of specialty crop producers came together with Vitidore to form a farmer cooperative for purchasing Oakville bluegrass seed directly from its supplier. The co-op leverages purchasing power and volume to make the cover crop more affordable for its members, and also serves as a central nexus for all things Oakville bluegrass.
